Disclosed is a monitoring camera of zoom recording type. The camera comprises a zoom motor(200), a zoom motor driver(500), control keys(700) and a zoom encoder(900). The control keys(700) are prepared for setting a interval time and a zoom magnification. The zoom encoder(900) determines the location of zoom. Thereby, a special area can be close up periodically according to the variation of interval time and zoom magnification.
