PURPOSE:To hold a photosensitive body and a transfer drum in normal position relation and to prevent deletion from being caused at the time of transfer by providing a means which controls the position relation between the photosensitive body and transfer means to specific relation at the start or end of a copying cycle by using 1st and 2nd reference signals. CONSTITUTION:A motor 21 is started under the control of a master controller 24 and a servocontroller 23 and a pulse generator 27 generates a signal PRZ, so that a motor 18 is started a prescribed time later. Then moving optical systems 10 and 11 reach the position of an REG sensor 29 and when the sensor 29 outputs a scan start timing signal SNSR, an electrostatic image is formed on the photosensitive drum 1 in order from the start position of electrostatic latent image formation. A motor 22 is started at the same time with the motor 21 and a transfer drum 6 rotates based on of the signal SNSR at such a speed that a transfer start point coincides with the IMO, thereby transferring and forming an image having no color shift. When a multicolor copy is taken, this process is repeated three times. |
