<p>PURPOSE:To perform a high-efficiency coding operation by performing compressive coding in a level direction after removing the redundancy of a signal in a space. CONSTITUTION:RGB component signals from A/D converters 2R, 2G and 2B are supplied to a matrix circuit 3 to generate a YUV component signal. The sampling frequency of the signal Y is converted from 4fS to 3fS and a block grouping circuit 5 converts the order of data into the order of blocks. Further, signals U and V are converted to a 1/4 sampling rate fS, a subline circuit 8 obtains a line-sequence signal, and a block grouping circuit 9 performs similar order conversion. A composing circuit 6 outputs one-channel data. An ADRC encoder 10 performs coding adaptive to the dynamic range at every block and outputs a dynamic range DR and a code signal DT. Consequently, a following stage circuit performs conversion into frame data corresponding to blocks to perform coding for error correction and then performs channel coding, so that its output signal is recorded on a magnetic tape by a rotary head 15.</p> |
