<p>PURPOSE:To have sure operation of paper feeding by furnishing an inertia crank having an inertia moment, which is enough to allow contact of a separator roller with the surface of sheets when a platen is in reverse rotation, and thereby providing easy control of the device with simple construction. CONSTITUTION:When a platen 13 is rotated reversely to allow rotation of levers 32a, 32b in the direction stoppers 39a, 39b, a separator roller 34 comes into contact with the uppermost sheet 57, and now only one sheet is taken out by the roller 34 and held while contacting the platen 13 and pinch roller 14. Here inertia cranks 46a, 46b stretch compression springs 62a, 62b and thereafter turn in the same direction quickly, and following the reduction of resilient force the levers 32a, 32b return in the direction toward the stoppers 38a, 38b. At this time the cranks 46a, 46b are rotated by the inertia force for a certain specific amount so as to hold the separator roller 34 at the position contacting the sheet 57. Thus the leading edge of the sheet is inserted at all times between the rollers, so that paper feed for the subsequent sheet is secured with sure operation, and further this arrangement requires simple control.</p> |
