PURPOSE:To provide a smoke exhauster, which enables to select exhaust air flow rate in response to the load state of a cooking stove without lowering the smoke black removal ratio of the exhauster. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 26 is provided at the innermost recess of a shelf 16a, which also serves as the smoke guide plate of a smoke exhauster arranged across a certain fixed distance from a range 17. Baffles 27, 28, 29, and 30 are arranged in the interior of the smoke exhauster. The baffles 29 and 30 out of the four baffles are pivotally mounted and at the same time mounted to a connecting rod 31 with some extent of the degree of freedom. Tooth profiles 32 formed near the upper end of the connecting rod 31 are rendered to mesh with a gear 34 mounted to a motor 33. The motor 33 turns by a predetermined angle interlocking with the depression of an air flow rate changing-over button 25 so as to pivot the baffles 29 and 30 in order to change-over the gaps between the fixed baffles 27 and 28 and the baffles 29 and 30 in three stages, resulting in enabling to finely control the exhaust air flow rate in response to the rate of generation of smoke black. |
