A process for treating plastisol-type vinyl chloride resins having small particle size and relatively little capability for absorbing plasticizers such that the plastisol absorbing capabilities of the resins are improved. The preferred process is the treatment of the particles with water at a temperature which is not less than about 150 DEG F (65.6 DEG C) for a period of time sufficient to cause the plasticizer absorption capabilities to increase.
