PURPOSE:to lessen self alignment effort and steering effort on a rough road by chamfering the open part of a groove wall at the tread center of main grooves formed in a peripheral direction and so inclining the wall as to direct the groove bottom of a tread end side groove wall toward the tread end. CONSTITUTION:Main grooves 10 having such a width Wa as not closing groove walls 11c and 11s at the time of grounding and extending in a peripheral direction, are arranged in a widthwise direction on a tire E at intervals. And the open part 12 of a groove wall 11c at the center line CL side of the tread of the main grooves 10 is subjected to chamfering 14 with radii of curvature R2, R3...Rn. Aso, the groove wall 11s is cut into the S side of a tread end against a vertical line down to the rotation axis of the tire E and inclined with angles alpha1, alpha2...alphan. According to the aforesaid constitution, self alignment effort and steering effort on an inclined road can be reduced. |
