PURPOSE:To avoid oblivion of a trouble or delay of detection of the trouble with display maintained even in a touble, by inhibiting actuation of an automatic power supply OFF function when a trouble occurs. CONSTITUTION:When this power supply OFF system is applied to an electrophotographic copying machine, for example, an automatic power supply OFF routine is skipped together with a power saving state released and a trouble display routine is carried out. Thus the power supply is never cut off by said power supply OFF function during a trouble mode. In addition, a service man calling display 74 and a trouble code of a numerical value display device 72 are turned on to shown in the trouble and the countermeasures. As a result, a user never forget the trouble nor be late for recovery of the trouble. Furthermore an expected user also known the trouble and can properly cope with the trouble. |
