PURPOSE:To steam a food under the optimum condition for the food and to obtain a steamed food having excellent and uniform quality, by placing an assembled thermal medium tube for heating the object to be steamed and a steam pipe for humidification in a steaming chamber and controlling the amounts of steam supplied to both facilities with a sensor. CONSTITUTION:An object to be steamed is steamed based on two elements comprising temperature and humidity by using the following construction. A set of assemblies 4, 4' of thermal medium tubes for heating the object 3 to be steamed are installed at least on both inner side faces 2, 2' of the steaming chamber 1. A steam pipe 5 for humidifying the chamber is placed in the steaming chamber. The chamber contains a temperature sensor 6 and a humidity sensor 7. The amount of steam to be supplied to the assemblies 4, 4' of the thermal medium tubes and the amount of steam to be released through a humidifying steam pipe 5 into the steaming chamber 1 are controlled based on the detected temperature and humidity in the steaming chamber. The steaming object 3 is subjected to desired heating operation and humidifying operation by this process. |
