PURPOSE:To carry out cooking of rice under optimum condition corresponding to the amount of rice, by stopping the power supply to a heater with a controlling means when a temperature detecting means detects the temperature of the cooking pot reaching a specific level in the cooking of rice and detecting the lowering of temperature of the cooking pot by the use of a timer means and the temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The cooking of rice is carried out under optimum condition corresponding to the amount of rice by the following method. The rice cooker is furnished with a cooking pot to hold rice and water, a heater to heat the cooking pot, a controlling means to control the ON and OFF of the heater, a timer means and a temperature detecting means to detect the temperature of the cooking pot. When the temperature detecting means detects that the temperature of the cooking pot reaches a prescribed temperature during the cooking of rice, the timer means is energized and the power supply to the heater is stopped with the controlling means. Thereafter, the lowering of the temperature of the cooking pot is detected by the timer means and the temperature detecting means. |
