PURPOSE:To raise productivity of an amino acid such as L-arginine, etc., by cultivating a specific bacterium having recombinant DNA containing DNA fragment to carry genetic information participating in synthesis of AGK, AGPR and AS of Escherichia coli or containing the DNA fragment and DNA fragment to carry genetic information participating in syntheses of ASS. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or to the genus Brevibacterium, having recombinant DNA containing DNA fragment to carry genetic information participating in syntheses of N-acetylglutamic kinase (AGK), N-acetyl-gamma-glutamyl phosphate reductase (AGPR) and argininosuccinase (AS) of a bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia coli or containing the DNA fragment and DNA fragment to carry genetic information participating in synthesis of arginosuccinate synthetase (ASS) is cultivated in a medium. L-Arginine, L-citrulline or L-ornithine is formed and accumulated in the culture mixture and the amino acid collected from the culture mixture. |
