摘要 PURPOSE:To aim at prevention of a danger through making the reversed gear shift operation difficult to be performed in the course of running by making the synchronous capacity of a synchronizer for shifting gear to the gear shifting stage for reverse smaller than the synchronous capacity of another synchronizer for shifting gear to the gear shifting stage for forward. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve 51 in a synchronizer 50 for reverse in moves by a shift lever to the left, which is moved together with the sleeve 51, is touched to a cone 53, and then, the cone 53 is also pressed to the left and its inner periphery tapered surface is touched to the tapered surface 29b on the side of a clutch gear 29a, and consequently, by virture of a frictional force generated between the two tapered surfaces, the rotation of an output shaft 16 is synchronized by means of the cone 53 with the rotation of a reverse driven gear 29. And then, the sleeve 51 is moved further to the left, and the inner periphery spline 51a of the sleeve 51 is engaged with the clutch gear 92a so that the rotation of the reverse driven gear 29 is transmitted to the output shaft 16. When the tilt angle between these tapered surfaces is made larger so that the frictional force is made smaller, the synchronous capacity becomes smaller. Thereby, the operating physical force of the shift lever becomes larger, and the malfunction of gear shifting can be prevented from taking place.
