PURPOSE:To produce the titled ferredoxin or reductase useful as a reagent, drug or clinical diagnosticum industrially, by cultivating a blue-green alga and collecting ferrodoxin and a specific reductase from the culture mixture. CONSTITUTION:A green-blue alga producing ferredoxin, ferredoxin-NADP reductase and glutathione reductase is cultivated and at least one of ferredoxin, ferredoxin-NADP reductase and glutathione reductase is collected from the culture mixture. Spirulina sp. ATCC 29408, Anacystis nidulans ATCC27344, etc., may be cited as the blue-green algae used. In cultivating the blue-green alga, the production amount of ferredoxin, ferredoxin-NADP reductase and glutathione reductase is greatly changed by culture condition, preferably the culture is generally carried out at 20-40 deg.C at pH8-11 and the production amount becomes maximum be aerated spinner culture under light irradiation for 5-10 days. |
