PURPOSE:To forecast and display the end of life of a battery, by measuring an cumulative service time of a water depth meter circuit with respect to the capacity of the battery previously calculated by computation. CONSTITUTION:When a mode switch SM of a mode specification control circuit 13 is operated for diving, a mode specification control signal PC is outputted. At this point, an AND gate 16 of a cumulative measurement circuit 21 is left open, a frequency division signal Pf from a timepiece circuit 1 is supplied to a counter 17 and a circuit 21 starts counting. Immediately before the capacity of a battery by calculation reaches zero in an electronic timepiece with a water depth meter, a time expiration signal PT is outputted from the counter 17 to reset a toggle type FF14 of the circuit 13 and the signal PC goes to a 'L' level. As a result, a display switching circuit 5 operates to switch display information PH from water depth information PS to time counting information PZ and time is displayed with a display device 7. Furthermore, with the outputting of the signal PT, a flashing display or the like is performed with the display device 7 through a decoder driver circuit 6 thereby forecasting the end of life of the battery. |
