Telephone set, especially for emergency calls to preselected numbers, including an earpiece/microphone handset and a dialling pad, especially with decimal keys and internal memory for prerecording a specified number of emergency or preferential numbers, chosen at will by the user, characterised in that it comprises means 11, 27, 32 located respectively on the set and positioned some distance from it, able automatically to trigger the call to any one of the said numbers, this number having previously been selected from the list of these numbers by a selector unit 9 positioned on the set and controlled by the user.
