The present invention relates to a connecting link 16 between the cable 10 and the anchor chain 23 of a combination anchoring line, especially for drilling platforms, which is used in a system in which, upon raising the line, the anchor chain 23, which is initially connected to the cable 10 hauled by a windlass 11, is disconnected from the cable 10 in order to be connected to a pilot chain 15 hauled by a wildcat (chain grab) 17 in order to be stowed in a chain locker, the cable 10 and the pilot chain 15 including, at their facing ends, a detachable link 18, 14 provided for cooperating with the connecting link 16. According to the invention, this connecting link 16 consists of a flat element having substantially the shape of a quadrilateral which includes four holes respectively make on the two diagonals of this quadrilateral on either side of the intersection of the latter, in such a way that the anchor chain 23 is usually fixed to one of the holes of the connecting link 16, while the other holes are provided for receiving at least one of the detachable links 18, 14 which are respectively connected to the cable 10 and to the pilot chain 15.
