PURPOSE:To obtain a battery having good high rate discharge performance without drop in the capacity by using a mixture of powdery cupric oxide and fibrous cupric oxide as a positive active material. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of powdery cupric oxide and fibrous cupric oxide is used as a positive active material. The preferable content of the cupric oxide is 5-50wt% of the positive mix. The mixture of powdery cupric oxide and fibrous cupric oxide is preferable to heat at 400-900 deg.C before use. Thereby, a battery having good high rate discharge performance without drop in the capacity can be obtained. |
