PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of accesses to a memory and speed up the printing by a printer by writing a drawing data formed by carrying out the adjustment of printing density and the gradation of density change of the boundary in the printer at the time of forming the drawing data of many-valued gradation figure. SOLUTION: The coordinates of a left end edge 311 and a right end edge 312 of a horizontal line of a figure 31 are computed on a left end edge X coordinate computation section 71 and a right end edge X coordinate computation section 72 by a current data forming control section 75 of a many-valued data development section 7, and the density of respective points of the current line is computed based on a position data of a drawing data, and the computation density is divided into respective zones and allocated thereon. Density change points of density zone boundary of the drawing data are monitored by a density change point correction section 76 to smooth the gradation of density, and the number of pixels is counted and when a pixel density data of the given numbers is substituted, the 'gradation' is processed without the density substitution until the following density change point is reached. The drawing data amount is stored in a data buffer 77 until the amount becomes larger than an external memory bus width. |
