In a system for electronic analysis of flat scenes with a linear sensor, the analogue signal produced by a linear camera 1 scanning a scene 3 is digitised, then converted into binary. The binary image of the scene 3 is processed by a computer 7. In order to aid adjustment of this analysis system, provision is made to store the binary information corresponding to a part of the scene 3 in a display memory 9, and to create, from this information, a composite video signal allowing the binary encoded image 20 of the said scene part to be displayed on the screen of a video monitor 10. <IMAGE>
