The invention relates to a signalling light for a motor vehicle of the type comprising a light source 10, a reflector 12 of the parabolic type focused on the light source, a closure glass 14 comprising, at its inner surface, in certain regions, coloured rear reflector elements 16 and a backing plate 22 extending inside the light substantially parallel to the closure glass. According to the invention, the backing plate comprises, facing the rear reflector regions of the closure glass, opaque regions 24 of a similar colour to that of the rear reflector elements, the regions of the closure glass free of rear reflector elements being transparent, and allowing, with the regions of the backing plate situated outside the opaque zones, the passage of the lighting function of the light.
