PURPOSE:To economically obtain a deodorizing polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber having excellent deodorization and capable of coloring or dyeing to an optional color tone, by adding a white or substantially colorless deodorant into a spinning dope of PAN and spinning the dope. CONSTITUTION:A white or substantially colorless deodorant [preferably deodorant, etc., obtained by blending 30-300pts.wt. zinc compound such as zinc oxide, zinc carbonate, etc., with 100pts.wt. organic carboxylic acid such as citric acid, trimellitic acid, etc.] is added into a spinning dope of PAN, preferably in an amount of 0.5-10pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. PAN fiber and the dope is spun to provide the aimed deodorizing PAN fiber. The fiber is used for clothing such as stockings, gloves, etc. |
