PURPOSE:To prevent jamming in a thermal printer, by incorporating a specific compound in a thermal layer containing colorless or faint color dye precursor material or a compound reactable therewith to exhibit color or in a thermal layer containing a diazo compound or a compound reactable therewith to exhibit color. CONSTITUTION:In a supporting material such as paper or plastic and a thermal layer being provided thereon, triaryl methane compound, diphenyl methane compound, xanthin compound, thiazine compound, spiropyrene compound, diazo compound, etc. are employed as a colorless or faint color dye precursor material which is a main component of the thermal layer. One or more than one kind of said compounds are employed, and a compound shown by formula I is employed by 0.0001-0.5g, preferably 0.05-0.2g, per 1m<2> of supporting material in the thermal layer composed of said compounds. |
