PURPOSE:To obtain the titled toner capable of reducing heat energy necessary for fixing the toner by using a low mol.wt. ester compd. having a m.p. of a specific range as a binding agent of the titled toner. CONSTITUTION:The binding agent of the titled toner is composed of the low mol.wt. ester compd. having the m.p. of 50-150 deg.C. Said compd. is obtd. by effected a condensation reaction of a monovalent or a polyvalent carboxylic acid and a monohydric alcohol, or the monovalent carboxylic acid and the polyvalent alcohol, and has preferably the mol.wt. of <=1,500. The titled toner is obtd. by mixing said ester compd., a coloring agent, and a charge controller, etc., in a molten state, grinding, followed by classifying. The ester compd. is useful for the binder of the flash fixing toner, as the viscosity of the ester compd. suddenly reduces at the m.p. thereof. The compd. may be used in order to reduce the fixing temp. by adding said compd. to an another binder resin. |
