<p>PURPOSE:To cool a fixing device and to prevent it from being abnormally heated, by providing a paper ejecting guide member with a hole which allows air to flow to the heat fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A laser printer is divided into an upper unit 1 and a lower unit 2. A transfer paper to which an electrostatic image is transferred is separated from a photosensitive body 11 by its own weight and is sent to the heat fixing device provided with rolls 36 and 37, and the toner image is fused and fixed onto the transfer paper. The transfer paper after fixing is peeled by a claw 39 and is sent to a paper ejecting roll 40. When a paper eject switching knob is turned, the transfer paper is ejected to an upper tray 9 through a paper ejecting guide member 42 or is ejected out of the printer through a roll 40 in accordance with the position of a switching claw 41. The outside air flows to the fixing device and a toner recovery tank 57 through the air hole provided in the lower part of the member 42 to efficiently cool them.</p> |
