The invention relates to a chimney which permits effective cleaning and heat utilisation of flue gases, in particular gases resulting from the combustion of solid fuels. The aim is to configure a chimney, which can be industrially prefabricated in a cost-effective manner, as a universal, space-saving and reliable jet washer for new-construction and reconstruction purposes. According to the invention, the chimney is, for this purpose, constructed from identical prefabricated elements, preferably of concrete, having an axial through-passage and coaxial through-passages, which each exhibit, on their upper side, radial and coaxial ducts which open into the through-passages. A liquid-jet reactor element with a changeable flow cross-section which is regulated in dependence on the combustion-process parameters guarantees optimum heat-exchange and material-exchange conditions. |
