PURPOSE:To provide sufficient hydrophilic nature necessary for filtration and separation of water or water solution by coating a hollow yarn membrane having through-micropores with hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate. CONSTITUTION:Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate, consisting of 12-28% of methoxyl, 4-23% of hydroxypropoxyl, 2-16% of acetyl and 4-28% of succinoyl, is solved in a good solvent. Concentration is preferably in a range of 0.05-5wt%. A porous hollow yarn membrane 1 is immersed in the solution, and after the solution is immersed sufficiently into micropores 7 of the porous hollow yarn membrane 1, relative high molecules 3 are separated on the surface of the membrane by solidifying by means of air drying or water. By this process, sufficient hydrophilic nature necessary for filtering water or water solution is provided, and by regulating coating conditions, all application from precision filtration through ultrafiltration are available. |
