<p>Processes for the production of antistatic or static dissipative papers, coated antistatic papers, antistatic paper dunnage products, and apparatus for the production of antistatic papers. The papers produced may be expeditiously used in dunnage converter machines operable to produce antistatic resilient pad-like cushioning dunnage products useful for packaging. In one of the processes a partially dried web (W) of paper emitted from drier section (16) of a four-drinier paper making machine (10) is then passed to a liquid antistatic material applicator or feed mechanism (18) where web (W) is coated with liquid antistatic material. In another process a web of dry paper (W') passes through pool (48) of antistatic liquid, squeeze rollers (50, 50A) of mechanism (43), and drier mechanism (54).</p> |
