The invention relates to a tiled stove in which, according to the invention, a flue gas-regulating flap (26) is fitted in a connecting opening (6) between a combustion chamber (3) and a heat-exchanger chamber (4). This flue-gas flap (26) is part of a temperature-regulating circuit having a temperature sensor (33) in a flue-gas pipe (21) immediately in front of the chimney inlet. The desired temperature value of a temperature regulator (32) is set so that, with the aid of the regulating flap (26), the temperature is adjusted to a temperature lying above the sooting temperature of the chimney. Furthermore, between the flue-gas pipe (21) and a convection-heating box (23) there is situated a heating-up box (20), from which, during the heating-up process, the convection-heating box (23) can be cut off and a direct flue-gas path to the chimney can be connected. With the arrangement according to the invention, as well as protection of the chimney against sooting, good fuel utilisation is achieved and the risk of condensate formation in the stove components is reduced. <IMAGE>
