A device for opening a container which comprises a band (13) adhesively attached to the inside surface of the envelope (10), and a non-tearable strip (12) disposed on opposite sides of the band (13) and adhesively attached to the outside surface of the container (11), the band and the strips being disposed substantially parallel to each other, whereby when the band is freed from the container and pulled away from the container, the container can be readily opened with a straight tear line which extends along the container between the non-tearable strips. |
