The invention relates to a process for continuous tube production without the use of a mandrel, comprising the following process steps: a) the inner layer (core) is produced on an extruder; b) the tube core runs through a cooling zone; c) the reinforcement is applied on one or more building-up machines; d) the outer layer (cover) is applied on an extruder; e) subsequently, the tube is vulcanised under pressure. What is essential about this invention is that the process steps b and c take place in a pressure chamber, the internal pressure of the pressure chamber corresponding to the vulcanisation pressure.
