The intention was to design a simple, reliable and insensitive level control of a self-priming, hydropneumatic spring strut so that delayed regulation can be achieved, with simultaneous reduction of blockages in the regulating passage. For this purpose, the regulating passage is formed on the outer surface of the pump rod by a recess in the pump rod and the inner wall of the control sleeve, the regulating passage at the same time being designed as restrictor.
