A cordless telephone system is proposed which consists of at least one location-independent transceiver part (telephone set) and one stationary co-station part (telephone connection part) exhibiting a transmitter and receiver and connected to a telephone network. The transceiver part is connected to the co-station part via a radio link, i.e. cordlessly. The transmitting frequency of the transmitter is simultaneously used as oscillator frequency of the receiver at least in the location-independent transceiver part.
