A back-up power source device comprises a primary cell (2) and a secondary cell (3) that are connected in parallel with an external power source (Vcc) which supplies electric power to a system (1). The secondary cell (3) is charged by the external power source (Vcc) and produces an electromotive force greater than that of the primary cell (2). The device is effective in backing up a battery of, e.g., C-MOS memories. |
