Cartridge for a standard housing

Floppy-disk drives (1) which are installed in a standard housing (10) are open from the front side and consequently at risk of considerable contamination. A cartridge for receiving floppy-disk drives (1) with a front panel (11) for fastening the cartridge on the housing frame (10) is proposed, in which cartridge the front panel (11) has a mounting face (14), which is recessed into the interior of the housing and upon which the floppy-disk drive (1) is fastened, there being a flap (18) which is attached in front of the floppy-disk drive (1) in such a way that it can be swivelled away by means of a hinged joint (19) and which can be brought into substantially sealed connection with the front panel (11) (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
