A device for the aligned deposition of stacks (1) of blanks on a pallet (2) has a feeding conveyor belt (4), an inlet conveyor (5), a stack column-forming section (6) and transfer trolleys (7). The inlet conveyor (5) is composed of an inlet path (9) with an interposed turntable (10) and two inlet slides (11, 12) which can be moved along the inlet path (9) and can be raised and lowered, while the stack column-forming section (6) has a transverse conveying device (16), by means of which a column (14) of stacks (1) of blanks which is formed on the stack column-forming section (6) can be pressed transversely to the conveying direction of the inlet conveyor (5) down onto the transverse trolley (7) which can reciprocate and also be raised and lowered in a guide frame (17) which is arranged downstream of the stack column forming section (6). The stacks (1) of blanks which are arranged in rows of columns (14) can be transferred from the transfer trolley (7) to a pallet (2) which is arranged in front of and below the transfer trolley (7) during the return of the latter. A device of this type makes an especially space-saving design possible if the stack column-forming section (6) which adjoins the inlet conveyor (5) has a width which essentially matches that of the inlet conveyor (5) and if the rear edge (18) of the transfer trolley (7) for receiving the columns (14) of stacked blanks can be brought up to the stack column-forming section (6). <IMAGE>
