In arrangements of this type having an bullet-proof covering on the outer side of frame and window sash or door leaf, it is provided additionally to secure the glass-retaining profiles on the inner side. For this purpose, the glass-retaining profiles are connected to the exterior covering via through-passage screws. It is additionally provided that the covering be assigned, in the region of the gap of frame and window sash or door leaf, a plate-like locking rail which is arranged in a cutout of the covering and, in the protection position, is located on either side of the gap.
