<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain suitable combustion performance in a catalytic combustion chamber by connecting an air flow-in passage to a gasoline vapor flow-in passage leading to the catalytic combustion chamber and controlling the amount of the flowing-in air that in according with the gasoline vapor concentration. CONSTITUTION:A control device 16 has a built-in timer and controls the ON and OFF of a blower 9. For example, gasoline spilled and water used for washing cars so on at a gasoline station 1 are collected at a pit 4 and then stored in oil and water separation tank 6, but the gasoline vapor that is generated there is sent by a blower 9 to a catalytic combustion chamber 11 through a vapor flow-in passage 12 of an air vent 8 via air conveying passage 7. At this time if the vapor concentration is higher than a specified value, a vapor concentration sensor 14 detects it, and it outputs signal to a control device 16. At the control device 16 upon receiving this output, it outputs signal to a valve 15 to open it. As a result air is sent from an air flow-in passage 13 to the vapor flow-in passage 12 to dilute the gasoline vapor passing through the flow-in passage 12. With this arrangement too thick gasoline vapor does not flow into the catalytic combustion chamber 11 so that a proper combustion action can be obtained.</p> |
