PURPOSE:To prevent a rear wheel from rapidly changing in the reverse phase from the same phase to a front wheel, by controlling a steering angle set speed of the rear wheel so as to be decreased by a steering angle set speed control means when a vehicle is controlled being decelerated. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 50, which controls the steering direction of a rear wheel, operates being controlled by an output from a control unit 100. The control unit 100 is equipped with a steering ratio setting part 102 setting steering ratio of the rear wheel in accordance with the steering ratio characteristic corresponding to the actual running car speed V, rear wheel steering angle setting means 103 controlling the stepping motor 50 to set a steering angle of the rear wheel in accordance with an output signal from said steering ratio setting part 102 and a steering angle set speed control means 105 receiving a signal from a brake detecting means and outputting a signal of decreasing a steering angle set speed of the rear wheel in the time of deceleration. Since the steering angle set speed of the rear wheel decreases if a vehicle is decelerated by applying a brake, the rear wheel is prevented from being rapidly steered in the reverse phase. |
