PURPOSE:To improve a riding comfortableness and traveling stability by making a given damping force to be added to a piston when a controlling force is the damping force, and the controlling force from an hydraulic motor is to be added when the controlling force is not the damping force, with a controlling force obtained based on a relative displacement between a road surface and body in a suspension device for vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a relative displacement between a road surface 13 and a body 3 and the relative displacement between the road surface 13 and a piston 7 are inputted into a control device 43 from a sensor 15 and sensor 17 respectively, a controlling force F is operated by the control device 43. And the controlling force F is converted into a differential pressure DELTAP. Also, valves 29 and 37 are closed and an opening of the valve 29 is adjusted to control a damping force when the controlling force F is the damping force. Also, the valve 29 is closed and the opening of the valve 37 is adjusted to control an oil pressure from a pump 39 when the controlling force F is not the damping force. This enables a riding comfortableness and traveling stability to be improved. |
