<p>PURPOSE:To provide a resin compsn. which has excellent moldability, is suitable for use in the production of containers for food, pharmaceutical preparations and cosmetics and has an adverse effect on the contents of the containers, for example, does not cause the discoloration, denaturation, adsorption, etc. of the contents, containing a pigment coated with a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:A pigment such as TiO2, ZnO, etc., is brought into contact with at least one cyclic silicone of formula I [wherein R1 is a lower alkyl or an aryl; R2 is an alkyl or an aryl; a is a positive integer; b is 0 or a and a+b=3-100, 20<=100a/(a+b)<=100] at an ambient temp. of not higher than 100 deg.C in a vapor phase to polymerize it on the surface of the pigment, thus coating the surface of the pigment with 0.1-20wt% compd. having an MW of not lower than 200,000, represented by formula II (wherein R2 is H, an alkyl or an aryl) firmly, densely, homogeneously and transparently. 0.1-50wt% of the coated pigment is blended with a base resin such as PE, PP, PS, a polyester resin, an ionomer, etc.</p> |
