<p>PURPOSE:To directly obtain a middle-cut hydrocarbon useful as jet fuel etc. with a high selectivity and a high yield, by contacting a mixed gas of CO and H2 with a catalyst comprising a carrier of a Zr(hydr)oxide and Co carried thereon. CONSTITUTION:A precipitate is formed by adding an alkali to an aq. soln. of a chloride, a nitrate, etc. of Zr. The precipitate is washed, filtered, and dried or burnt, thereby obtaining a carrier of a Zr(hydr)oxide. The carrier is immersed in an aq. soln. of cobalt nitrate, etc., so as to enable the carrier to carry 1-50wt% of Co, thereby obtaining a catalyst (B). Subsequently, an H2/CO mixed gas (A) having an H2 to CO molar ratio of 0.2-6.0, obtd. by gasifying a fossil fuel such as coal, natural gas, or petroleum coke is contacted for reaction with the catalyst B in a reactor of fixed bed, fluid bed, etc., at 150-300 deg.C under a pressure of 5-100kg/cm<2> at a gas-based superficial velocity of 100-5,000h<-1>.</p> |
