PURPOSE:To cool an electrode and a laser tube, and to prevent the damage of the laser tube by annexing cooling tubes to a pair of spiral conductors mounted onto the outer circumferential surface of the laser tube with a circular section in which a laser medium gas flows in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A conductor constituting a pair of electrodes 1, 2 is fitted spirally onto the outer circumferential surface of a laser tube 3 with a circular section formed by ceramics, etc., and the electrodes 1, 2 are supplied with a high-frequency power supply through leads 11 and 12, thus exciting a laser medium gas circulating in the tube 3. Cooling tubes 4, 5 consisting of copper tubes are silver-soldered to the electrodes 1, 2, and a coolant is circulated within the tubes 4, 5, thus cooling the electrodes 1, 2 and the laser tube 3. The whole is covered with an silicone rubber 10, thus preventing creeping discharge. |
