The invention relates to a rotative speed stabilizer for tape recorders, which permits to stabilize and control the speed of the motor (4) driving the magnetic tape, said stabilizer consisting of a speed detector comprising a phototransistor (3) which takes over the light impulses transmitted through the slots machined on the periphery of a fly wheel (1) of the motor (4), the impulses supplied by the phototransistor (3), after processing, being further applied to a frequency-voltage converter (10, 11) which supplies an error signal to an amplifier (12) controlling, by means of a series regulator (13, 14), the voltage level applied to the motor (4), thereby controlling the rotative speed thereof.
