PURPOSE:To reproduce a large original image by providing an image overlapping means to match the image from a hand scanner accumulated in a buffer memory for a block and overlap the image of respective blocks. CONSTITUTION:An original image is divided into respective blocks of the upper, intermediate and lower parts, scanned and inputted respectively to BUFF1-3 of a buffer memory BUFF5. A part of the lower part of an image accommodated into the BUFF1 of a memory 5 is set to a master pattern, and a template matching is executed with the image accommodated in the BUFF2 as a target pattern. When a matching peak area with the most number of the integrations of an coincident point is obtained by the matching, the area is made coincident, the image of the BUFF1 and 2 is overlapped and accommodated to an FRAM4. In the same way, when the matching of the image of all blocks is executed and the overlapping processing is completed, the synthesizing image of the image coincident to the original image is obtained at the FRAM4. |
