摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To surely operate a device, to eliminate the destruction of an LSI and useless power consumption and to enhance versatility by bringing the output of an inverter in an oscillator circuit made of a crystal or ceramic resonator into a high impedance state with the aid of a control signal. CONSTITUTION:For using a resonator, it is connected between I/O terminals 11 and 12, and the control signal 9 is set to zero. Thus the output of the inverter 18 comes to '1' to conduct MOS.FETs 14 and 15, and MOS..FETs 13 and 16 operate the inverter. Therefore oscillation continues, and a NOR circuit 20 supplies a clock signal from the interior of the LSI. For stopping the LSI's action, the output of the inverter 18 comes to zero where the control signal 19 is '1', and the MOS.FETs 14 and 15 are blocked to bring the output terminal 12 into a high impedance state. The oscillation stops, and simultaneously the control signal 19 fixes the output of the NOR circuit 20 at zero. Thus the power consumption in the oscillator circuit and in the interior of the LSI is less.</p>
