PURPOSE:To form heat generating parts having an equal heat generating area on one straight line without receiving the effect of the warpage of a substrate or the irregularity of the thickness of a glass layer, by forming high resistance parts in a part of a heat generating resistor so as to form the same on one straight line along a desired dot arranging row. CONSTITUTION:Slits 8 are provided to a part of each heat generating resistor 6 and only the slit parts are increased in a resistance value to form a high resistance part 61. Since the heat generating quantity in the heat generating resistor 6 is proportional to the resistance value thereof, the heat generating density of the high resistance part 61 can be made larger than that of the heat generating resistor part of an electrode peripheral part, and the high resistance part 61 can be set to a substantial heat generating part. That is, as the resistance value of the high resistance part 61 is larger as compared with other part, the effect enhancing heat generating density becomes marked. Herein, the patterning of the slits 8 can be performed by photolithographic or laser cutting technique. The areas of the heat generating parts can be made uniform without being affected by the warpage of a substrate 1 or the irregularity of the thickness of a glass layer, and the heat generating parts can be arranged along desired dot arrangement with good linearity. |
