<p>PURPOSE:To improve the lowest reception sensitivity of a radar transponder by interposing an FET amplifier between an antenna for reception and a diode direct detector. CONSTITUTION:A radio wave which is received by an antenna 1 for reception from a radar is amplified by the FET amplifier 9 and detected by the diode direct detector 2, and the signal is further amplified by a video amplifier 3 and sent to a control circuit 4. The circuit 4 forms pulses for generating the transmission time of the radar transponder with the video amplified signal and sends them to a transmitting gate circuit 5. The circuit 5 generates transmitting gate pulses with the output pulses and inputs them to a sweep signal generator 6 and a microwave oscillator 7. The generator 6 generates a necessary number of saw-tooth voltages with the transmitting gate pulses and sends them to the oscillator 7. The oscillator 7 performs transmission for a constant time with the transmitting gate pulses and makes a frequency sweep within a prescribed frequency range with the saw-tooth wave output voltages, so that the sweep output is propagated in the air from a transmitting antenna 8.</p> |
