PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket with a cover capable of improving its reliability by eliminating problems occurring when a cable is pulled and improving durability of parts. SOLUTION: A protrusion is formed on the lower surface of a lever part 16 of a socket 13, and a recess 19a capable of being locked at the protrusion is formed on the upper surface of a cover 19. The socket 13 and a cover 14 are locked together by engaging between the protrusion and the recess 19a when engaging. The width of a connecting part (rib) 24 formed in a cylindrical protecting part 20 in which a cable is inserted so as to extend in its longitudinal direction gets smaller from the root to the tip of the cylindrical protecting part 20. Thereby, when the cable is pulled and bent at around the root, the tension supplied to the cylindrical protecting part 20 is uniform in longitudinal direction so that the stress hardly concentrates at the root.
