PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a galvanomirror device which is made more small-sized and lightweight and an optical head which is mounted with it. SOLUTION: This galvanomirror device 100 is equipped with a base frame 110, a mirror 120 which is supported on this base frame rotatably around a specific axial center P of rotation and energized to elastically return to its normal position, a permanent magnet body 130 which rotates together with the mirror 120 in one body and has its polarity divided at right angles to the axial center P of rotation, and an electromagnet 140 which is fitted to the base frame 110 and equipped with a coil yoke 141 and a coil 142, and the coil yoke 141 and both its end parts 141a and 141c are arranged opposite each other across the magnetic pole end part of the permanent magnet body 130 in the rotating direction. The optical head 300 is mounted with the galvanomirror device 100 as a mirror 120 for reflecting the laser light projected by a optical unit on a magnetoopitc disk D at the tip of a carriage.
