The invention relates to a method for producing components made from composite materials based on a fabric 3 of fibres and on a resin or binder 9. The method is characterised in that it consists in drawing (press forming) the fabric, which consists of at least two layers of unidirectional fibres, by exerting a controlled tension on the fibres with the aid of a punch (header die) 2 and then in impregnating the fabric with resin after drawing (press forming), in degassing the resin by compressing the fabric 3/resin 9 assembly between the punch (header die) 2 and the mould cavity (die) 1, and then in polymerising the assembly, by heating, while maintaining the compression. <IMAGE>
